South Texas Building (Central Trust Company)
1919, Sanguinet and Staats. 603 Navarro St.
Designed by the prominent Fort Worth firm of Sanguinet and Staats, the twelve-story structure reflects the strong tendency toward the use of Renaissance Revival elements on financial institutions in Texas and nationwide. The tower is clad in brick, green granite, and terra-cotta, which help to demarcate the base, shaft, and capital of the building's overall form.
