Built by the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railway (TBVR), the depot has a combination of features that defy stylistic norms. A tall front block in buff brick with red brick quoins and window surrounds has a pyramidal roof with flared, bracketed eaves. A low freight wing has variously shaped openings. Between the two blocks is a squat octagonal tower, originally crenellated, but now capped with a low-sloped metal roof. A matching depot (CW26) was built in Waxahachie. Similarities with the depot in Teague, also built in 1907 by the TBVR, may support an attribution to the firm of C. H. Page and Bro.
