The Meyerson Symphony Center was the second major component of the Arts District to be completed, ensuring the future of the district. The design is an overlay of geometries that function both for the interior and for the site. The shoebox of the symphony hall is rotated away from the street, creating public open spaces that face back to the Dallas Museum of Art, and is wrapped in a circular glass shell that forms luminous lobbies and galleries around the hall. Crisp volumes in creamy limestone and fluid glass forms are ordered at the street with a monumental stone portal.
