Prince of Peace Catholic Community Sanctuary

-A A +A
1995, Cunningham Associates. 5100 W. Plano Pkwy.

A circle of low brick walls and a steep roof fractured into radial sections creates a calm, protective, and decidedly unmonumental sanctuary. The roof forms are supported inside with a web of slender steel columns and braces that implies nave and crossing, apse and tower. An octagonal glass lantern diffuses natural light through the interior.
