Across the street from Union Station (LT32), the hotel is a ten-story slab designed by Houston architect and hotel specialist Joseph Finger. The Hotel McCartney, now deserted and crumbling, and Union Station constitute an eloquent reminder of the golden age of rail travel in northeast Texas.
