Initially located four miles south of Cartersville, the church was moved in 1882 to this site. In 1937 it burned and was rebuilt using the original walls. The temple-form Greek Revival church has a recessed entrance between in antis Doric columns flanked by pilasters, which are repeated at the corners of the building. This finely crafted church of brick laid in Flemish bond has a molded brick water table, a rich modillion cornice, a lunette in the pediment, and tall round-headed windows. The wooden belfry has a bellcast roof.
