The words Light Heat Power, affixed in thin metal letters near the cornice level of this twostory structure, hint at the purpose of this building. For those still unable to figure it out, similar letters spell out Appalachian Electric Power Company on a side elevation. Built of cream-colored brick, the exemplary Moderne structure has a decorative limestone bolection molding framing its facade. A spandrel of polished dark green tiles separates the first-story entrance from second-story windows.
