Country Inn

-A A +A
1932. West corner of South Washington and Liberty sts., facing Berkeley Springs State Park

This small-scale Georgian Revival inn, built of brick, occupies a portion of the site of the nineteenth-century Pavilion Hotel. A central two-story portico on the north facade, overlooking the park, recalls the much larger portico of its predecessor. Given the modest resort pretensions of present-day Berkeley Springs, the size and design of the unassuming building seem just right.
