Schoolhouse

-A A +A
1882. North end of 1st St.

To face the country weather, this white clapboard one-room schoolhouse has half-size windows, a narrow door, and a small, low belfry. On its elevated position on a hill overlooking the town, the school embodies mining town hopes for permanence and gentility.
