This Beaux-Arts Neoclassical box occupies a corner site with a standard reproduction of the Statue of Liberty on the landscaped grounds. The formal, symmetrical composition is of gray granite, rough-faced to the base of the raised first floor. Four two-story Ionic columns support the entry portico, rising to a pediment that is repeated above the central entry doors and single windows at each end of the facade. The interior lobby is wain-scoted in green marble, and the grand double stairway has a stained glass skylight. Like so many city halls, this one is now largely devoted to courtrooms.
