This International Style school, designed by a noted Denver architect and Edward Bunts of Colorado Springs, combines round and rectangular shapes in an asymmetrical composition. Sandstone frames bands of windows along the west facade, which curves into the multilevel southwest corner entrance, with its curved metal canopy. Vertical panels of glass block are used to light stairwells. Additions fill the block, echoing the red brick, fenestration, and massing of the original but introducing terracotta and concrete trim.
