The focal point of this multipurpose arts center is the 2,100-seat El Pomar Great Hall, fan-shaped for optimum acoustics. A movable orchestra canopy and curving walls tilted over the balconies project and diffuse sound to three audience levels and cantilevered box seats. The center's irregularly massed concrete exterior faces the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum through the courtyard of the county government complex.
