This example of starved classicism is a lean, two-story, yellow brick box. Robert Fuller, a Denver architect, made the design subtly interesting by using the same wire-cut golden brick for corbeling, pilasters, soldier courses, diapering, and sloping brick sills. Aluminum Art Deco entry lamps and window screens and restrained zigzag patterns in the sparse terracotta trim add modernity. The original courthouse has been doubled in size by a sensitive 1969 addition that uses similar brick and styling.
