Mules hauled blocks of tan sandstone from the local Kaleway Quarry to complete the walls of this Neoclassical edifice. Rough-Faced stone is used for the walls of the first three stories. Smooth stone is employed for the fourth, as well as for the entry bay and for quoins and banding. A grand staircase climbs to three pairs of transomed doors set between two-story Doric columns supporting a shallow portico. A sympathetic WPA addition, a lawn, and trees fill out the half-block site.
