Bullet holes still scar this building, where, on June 6, 1904, striking members of the Western Federation of Miners, Local No. 32, were attacked by the state militia. Arched window openings and red sandstone trim enhance the Italianate design of this brick building, whose lower story is finished with more recent wood planking.
