The Streamline Moderne forms of the Koelbel house are clothed in clapboard and red brick. The curved bay of the living room is of brick, which connects to the brick chimney. Other essential ingredients of the style are present: flat roofs; corner windows; curved, thin slab roofs; and a horizontal band carried around the building, separating the first and second floors. The house is currently painted appropriately in shades of dark and light green, with white trim.
