What was meant to be read as a substantial “mansion” was realized within the Beaux-Arts tradition. Its first-floor base is rusticated, and the upper two floors of smooth-surfaced brick and terracotta are held in place by a broad overhanging “Italianate” tile hipped roof. Other classical motifs are the entrance porch with its four Ionic columns and roof balustrades and the central Palladian windows and door above the entrance. The building has been converted into apartments.
