Universalist Church (Apostle Church of God; Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church)

-A A +A
Apostle Church of God; Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church
c. 1875, W. Pahley, architect and builder. c. 1893. 316 S. 4th St.

The church as we see it today is the result of extensive remodeling of the building in the early 1890s. The church's front main gable seems randomly punctured with several sizes of pointed-arched windows, and the walls of the tower have Gothic windows and quatre-foil windows above. While the design is Gothic, it is hardly a traditional one.
