This is a French Second Empire dwelling with sharp, somewhat brittle details. It was extensively revamped in the Colonial Revival image of the early 1900s. A two-story porch with a gable roof supported by three Tuscan columns at each corner now presents the house to the street. Within the porch, the front entrance (c. 1900) acquired side lights and a transom.
