The plan of this church with a central auditorium is that of a Greek cross with a central octagonal drum and low dome. The space between the arms has been filled in, and one corner has been cut at a 45-degree angle so as to command the street corner. This angled facade has a double-columned porch inspired by the classical style. Overall, the design represents a warm, domesticated version of the Beaux-Arts tradition.
