This commodious two-and-a-half-story Queen Anne dwelling was much modified by the simplicity and details of the Colonial Revival. The principal front gable centers on a Palladian open porch; the extensive first-floor veranda has paired narrow Tuscan columns, and its roof is gabled. The general horizontality of the first two floors is countered by the upward thrust of the steeply pitched roof with its many gables.
