Although Alden Dow was asked if he would design a “colonial” church, he declined, and a New York City architect, who worked with a New York contractor, designed this “American Georgian” church of brick and limestone for 550 worshippers as a memorial to the sister of a member of the Dow Chemical Board. Corinthian columns of solid Indiana limestone support the dominant portico. The building has a three-stage asymmetrical tower.
