Nelson P. and Rachel Ann Wheeler, architectural patrons of Endeavor, no doubt felt that donating this white frame Gothic Revival church to the small village was a meaningful use of their company's product, lumber, which was generally exported downstream to Pittsburgh. Nestled among the trees of the forest, the church's steeply pitched gable roof and small pointed cupola are echoed by the Gothic Revival windows.
